I am in agreement with the viewpoint that traveling and living in a wide variety of places across the earth improves our ability to connect with others because it allows us to see our common humanity, it allows us to get out of our comfort zone and stretch our boundaries, and it allows for us to integrate new viewpoints that we have not previously considered.įirstly, traveling allows us to improve our ability to connect to others by showing us how we are all alike as humans. ![]() However, this viewpoint does not take account of the multitude of benefits which traveling and experiencing other cultures brings us, especially in the realm of our social skills. For them, it has made us less connected to the people who matter around us in our community and feel as if we do not have a cultural home. However, some argue that this unprecedended ability to connect with others has its downsides. The ever decreasing time it takes to travel has allowed for a great opportunity for people to experience new cultures and interact with disparate people.
